
Like many of the other characters, Hawk, too, has a vibrant and interesting history about him.

His powers come from the fact that the demon king was using him to observe Meliodas.Everyone’s favorite pig and sidekick, Hawk, has stood by Meliodas and his friends through thick and thin throughout the series, The Seven Deadly Sins. It is also discovered that he has a older brother that has been fighting in Purgatory, all this time. In fact, the latter equips him with a Balor Power Eye that allows him to detect the relative fighting prowess of anyone that he sees.ĭuring his training he discovers that by eating other creatures, he obtains their powers until he digests them. Besides Meliodas, Hawk gets along particularly well with Ban and Merlin. He quickly becomes his normal size, however, through excessive eating. However, Hawk mysteriously revived from his own dead body shortly afterwards, albeit several times smaller. In the Kingdom Infiltration Arc, Hawk sacrificed himself to block a fatal attack from Hendrickson aimed at Meliodas, and his death caused much anguish for Elizabeth and the Sins.

Although mostly serving as comic relief by acting like a braggart and a blowhard, he has nonetheless aided Elizabeth and the Sins several times, utilizing headbutts and other modest attacks on weaker enemies and transporting wounded allies. They often engage in harmless banter, with Hawk frequently seen scolding Meliodas for his perverted actions towards Elizabeth.

Hawk found Meliodas in a ditch sixteen years ago and the two formed a mobile bar together, having been together since. He is introduced as the cleaner of the Boar Hat bar who helps remove the disgusting food scraps left on the ground by eating them. A talking pig and Meliodas's pet/companion.
